LOS TRES ARMADILLOS
"Acoustic blues with an electricity of its own!"

LOS Tres Armadillos are an exciting acoustic blues trio spin-off from the main Rockin' Armadillos lineup.
For the past four years, Tim, Rob and Paul have been playing short acoustic trio sets at various Warner Blues Weekends around the country. These sets were so well received, the lads decided the time was right to take the acoustic trio out as an act in its own right, on an occasional basis.
If you enjoy the full, electric Armadillos lineup, you'll be in for a bit of a culture shock when you first encounter Los Tres Armadillos. It's certainly not just an acoustic version of the Armadillos.
Despite that Hispanic-sounding name, the trio doesn't play Spanish or Mexican music. It's strictly acoustic blues - a mixed bag of original tunes and songs by the likes of Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, Taj Mahal, John Lee Hooker, Howlin' Wolf and even, on occasion, ZZ Top and The Stray Cats!
Tim Aves:
Vocals and acoustic and metal-bodied resonator guitars;
Paul Lester:
Percussion and quiet drums (minimal kit, with brushes);
Rob Barry:
Semi-acoustic bass.
