ALEX Hall joined the Armadillos in September, 2002, to replace departing keyboard man Alex Murkin, creating what is arguably the strongest twin-guitar lineup on the UK blues scene today.
Alex and Owen had been jamming-mates, since the age of 14, so when the band were looking to recruit a new member, he as the natural choice.
Alex came to the ’Dillos after cutting his gigging teeth with popular and seriously good Essex blues-rock attraction, Red, White & Bluesey (aka Hokum). He also rocked out with blues-rockers Soulcry.

He adds a powerful, passionate and spontaneous Texas blues style to the mix, along with a reputation on the circuit as one of the most exciting, “balls-out” young live performers around.
If you love Stevie Ray’s playing at its most incendiary, passionate and intense, Alex Hall is a must-hear!

Alex was voted Favourite Guitarist in the 2006 Digital Blues Awards.

Alex also plays in rock band CARPE DIEM. Click here to visit their Myspace page...

Alex's old rock band, SOULCRY also has a Myspace page with some great funky live tracks, featuring Mr Hall's great, searing guitar.
